Jim’s primary areas of practice include banking, leasing, project and asset finance, with particular emphasis on the aviation sector – including aircraft acquisition and disposal and the start up and running of airlines and airports, principally internationally but with a significant Middle Eastern emphasis

  • He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society

Career

  • On leaving School, Jim won a cadetship at the Royal Air Force College, Cranwell, where he flew.
  • Later he studied law. He was the commercial finance lawyer at Lombard North Central PLC
  • Head of legal at Lloyds Leasing Ltd, where he was engaged in tax based leasing of aircraft and other assets.
  • Managing Partner of Beaumont and Son from 1990 – 2002

  • Solicitor, admitted in 1971
