Expertise
Dimitri has extensive experience in aircraft purchase, finance and operating leases and commercial transactions in relation to aircraft and aviation activities, cargo and passengers related. Dimitri also assists airlines and other organisations in the aviation sector with regulatory matters, particularly in matters concerning European Union.
Having worked at and held the function of Legal & Insurance Director of the TNT Express group before joining Gates and Partners, Dimitri possesses significant expertise in the general transportation, logistics and supply chain sectors. These sectors of activity have grown exponentially over the past two decades and Dimitri provides legal assistance as to all aspects of his clients’ activities in these areas: management of claims and litigation portfolio, drafting and negotiation of complex multi-modal transportation and supply chain agreements (including 3PL or 4PL type of arrangements), development and implementation of global terms and conditions of carriage and other services, customs and export controls and review of global or local operational processes in light of transnational regulatory requirements. His experience covers all the major logistics business segments, including automotive, industrial, health care, lifestyle, telecommunications, electronics, computing and semiconductors.
Dimitri also has substantial experience, notably acquired at the Brussels and Paris Bars, in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and commercial transactions and law (which he lectured at Brussels University), multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration.
