Matthew has wide-ranging experience in corporate finance and commercial law. He advises a diverse range of publicly-quoted and privately-owned companies, funds and individuals on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, turnarounds and restructurings. He possesses expertise in both domestic and cross-border transactions. Matthew also advises clients in respect of aircraft finance and commercial aviation matters. Matthew additionally has the benefit of industry experience having been seconded to the legal departments of a trade association representing the privatised electricity companies, the private banking arm of a major international financial institution and a leading provider of outscourced services. Matthew is also qualified as a notary public.
