Our structure, focus and experience allow us to provide high-quality, partner-driven commercial advice in private equity/venture capital investments/divestments. We believe that our setup means that there are very few, if any, other firms able to provide the same level of cost-effective advice on a consistent basis on deals of up to £10 million.
The firm retains a strong client and contact base of small to large funds, very wealthy individuals, and family investors looking to invest in a wide variety of businesses. Many of these funds/individuals retain the firm as their preferred adviser on private equity transactions/post investment issues/divestments.
In addition to our own internal areas of expertise, the firm has arrangements in place with outside specialists to provide seamless and quick advice on property, taxation, and EU competition.
Principals in the practice have been involved in an excess of 40 investments over the last five years. Involvement has ranged from providing advice "in-house" to a venture capital fund; to acting as lead external advisor, dealing with and managing the due diligence process/reports through to completion of documentation and assistance in post-completion monitoring in numerous businesses.
The continuous flow of work in this area means that the team is fully up to speed with market developments and the latest proposed structures which are being used to counter the new and varying problems which arise in venture capital/private equity investment.
