What we offer
Recruitment

Gates and Partners is a law firm with offices in London, Dubai, Paris, Brussels and Singapore. We strive to be the law firm of choice for the global aviation industry.
The firm is young and dynamic and brings together a team of specialised lawyers who have worked in house and in private practice across the aerospace industry. Our clients include airlines (from start-ups to major international carriers), insurers, travel and tour operators, maintenance organisations, product manufacturers, private individuals, aircraft leasing companies and banks.

What we offer

  • A fluid client-focused structure. The firm will identify the most suitable team members for each piece of work.
  • A range of nationalities, languages and backgrounds. Many of the team are civil law qualified in a number of jurisdictions. Languages spoken by our team members include Spanish, German, French, Mandarin, Portuguese, Hebrew, Croatian, Serbian, Greek and Galician.
  • A commitment to quality, including where we work with foreign counsel on multi-jurisdictional deals.
  • A transparent approach to fees, with a focus on being cost effective. The firm is always willing to discuss innovative approaches to fee arrangements.

Recruitment

Gates and Partners is a stimulating and rewarding firm in which to work. We take pride in working together as a team.  The atmosphere is lively, friendly and industrious.

We take our recruitment seriously and are committed to encouraging diversity amongst our workforce.  Our aim is that our employees will be truly representative of all sections of society and each employee feels respected and able to give their best.

Qualified Solicitors/Legal Executives/Paralegals

We are always keen to meet experienced aviation, liability, commercial and regulatory lawyers and are happy to receive speculative enquiries.

Trainee Solicitors

The firm views the recruitment of trainee solicitors as a long-term investment and thus aims to have all successful candidates progress to qualification and continued employment with the firm.  However, an offer post qualification is not assured.

Where possible, prospective candidates are encouraged to undertake a work placement either through an internship; vacation placement or through a fixed term paralegal contract as a precursor to the application for a Training Contract.

Initial applications should be sent to the Practice Manager between 1st August through to 30th September.  A shortlist will be drawn up for interviews to be conducted between October through to December.  A decision on either a work placement and/or training contract will be made in January of each year.
